Bespoke Suits - Hand-Cut for You Alone
A bespoke suit begins with a pattern created for one person alone: you.
Since 1876, Phillip Alexander has been dedicated to the finest traditions of British tailoring, combining generations of craftsmanship with a deeply personal approach.
Every suit starts with a cloth chosen by you. It is then carefully hand-cut by an experienced cutter to reflect your measurements. Finally, the garment is shaped and finished by a master tailor, with more than 80 hours of skilled work devoted to your commission.
The Bespoke Process
Bespoke Tailors in London & Cheshire
London – Savile Row & Cheshire – Wilmslow
Since 1876, Phillip Alexander has been a bespoke tailor of the highest quality. Creating unique, beautiful pieces that are handcrafted with excellence and elegance in mind, gentlemen have been trusting in the expertise of our bespoke tailoring for over 150 years. No garment leaves our stores until the customer is completely satisfied. We craft and tailor suits that we are proud of and we won’t settle for less.
The word comes from the Old English term “bespeak”, meaning to speak for. In the world of tailoring, bespoke represents the highest level of personalisation: a garment created using a unique pattern made specifically for one individual.
Bespoke starts from a blank pattern and involves multiple fittings over 3–5 months. Made-to-measure, on the other hand, adapts an existing block to your measurements in around eight weeks.
