A truly exceptional service! We came in with an idea for a wedding suit, and came out with a suit better than we could have ever expected. Having a suit tailor made is worth every penny you spend. My fiancé looks and feels so much more confient in his tailored suit than he ever would have from a retail suit. I can’t recommend this service enough

We had an outstanding consultation with John at Phillip Alexander Tailors for our son's wedding attire (March 2026). The entire experience surpassed what we had hoped for.
Our appointment started in a dedicated consultation room, where John outlined his process and philosophy. We then proceeded upstairs for an in-depth session where our son tried on an outfit he had assembled, looking for John's guidance on what elements to keep, change, or have tailored. John approached the assessment with remarkable sensitivity and consideration, taking time to pinpoint exactly why the outfit wasn't working.
Leveraging his wealth of expertise, John offered targeted recommendations suited to our son's physique. Buying a bespoke suit is not simply a transaction, it's an experience, and John knows exactly how to make that experience a rewarding one. If you've never had a suit made for you before, it's a journey into another world and he is your perfect tour guide. I visited Phillip Alexander Bespoke Tailors to be measured for a suit for my daughter's wedding.
I had never been measured for a suit before despite wearing one for my work as a teacher for forty years!
I realized I was being measured by a true expert who made me feel at ease and explained what he hoped to create for me. He took great care with his with precise measurements and explained he wanted to make me look my very best. The result was excellent and i was proud of myself and confident on the great day!
I wish i had made use of the tailors years ago because i would have been the proud owner of a suit that fitted me perfectly.
The whole process was enjoyable and a video of the measuring up and results would have been great entertainment for my family. I recommend Philip Alexander Tailors to anyone who would like a quality service. The groom and best man also benefitted from the craftsmanship and the wedding was an excellent day!

I wanted a bespoke hire suit made for my wedding, and wanted a traditional place in Cheshire which had a real Saville Row vibe to it. I found Phillip Alexander online and decided to come in to their Wilmslow branch for a consultation.
From the moment I stepped through the door, through to consultation and measurement, and all the way to final fitting, it was a fantastic experience. The kind of experience you see in films. You are made to feel welcome and the attention to detail is simply world class.

I used Phillip Alexander for my wedding for a suit for myself as the groom as well as a rental for my groomsmen. I cannot recommend them enough if you require something special for your big day! Their flexibility to work with all of our demands as well as their communication was really impressive. John’s demeanour and experience in the industry really make me feel at ease and feel really confident on my big day. The fit of the suit was perfect for both myself and my groomsmen and were very comfortable all day!

#1 Service from Phillip Alexander's. Alexander's properly tailored garments fit one like a glove. Designed for comfort and prepared with loving style. The benefit of Alexander's is more than the garment it covers the whole life of the garment. Don't be shy to visit to see what can be done. Once you acquired your first tailored suit here you will return again and again, never wanting to acquire another type of suit. Alexander's provided me with an excellent understanding of what would work and why for me. Never let me down. Just stop by for tea and a discussion of the what possible. You will be in awe.

My experience at Phillip Alexander was incredible. A unique experience from the first fitting. My wedding suit was incredible, the fit and look of the suit on the day was perfect, and I continue to wear the garment since for special occasions, the quality has not diminished. I have also taken on valuable lessons in tailoring from the fitting and learning from experts.

John and his amazing team at Philip Alexander crafted me a tailcoat suit for my wedding. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was amazing to see, and the service I received was a truly wonderful experience in itself. The quality of the finished product is of the highest standard, and opting to have a suit properly tailored was definitely worthwhile. Everyone commented on how brilliant I looked in the tails, and the suit made for some fantastic photographs. I could not recommend Phillip Alexander tailors enough. They offer proper traditional British tailoring of the very best standard.

It probably began back in 2002, I used to walk past Phillip Alexander on the way to Wilmslow High School for about 6 years wondering what they created in there! Until I joined the Infantry, never saw it again until some years later the second time I joined, this time as armoured (must have hit my head thinking I'd do it all over again!) And the leadership being so great we were told to have No2's dress ready on Tuesday for remembrance day, it was Friday at the time! Taking weeks to get anything done through the Army it was John who saved me and had my trousers sorted the next day. Fast forward some years later and it was John's store that rang in my head and I was straight back for the most important bit of tailoring of my life, my wedding suit. Once again he was the most polite professional I've ever dealt with and provided me with a suit worthy of my beautiful bride! I'm yet to get the professional photos yet but the review couldn't wait. If you're getting married you shouldn't be going anywhere else!

First bespoke suit I’ve ever had made and wow, what an experience.
I first met John around 5 months ago and 8 was initially a bit nervous about using Phillip Alexander for my wedding suit when comparing to non-Saville Row tailors. But I’m so pleased with my choice to move forward with John at Phillip Alexander; the sheer knowledge and expertise that John shows is something that cannot be underestimated.
I’ve just finished my first fitting and cannot wait to continue the fitting sessions in preparation to receive my suit.

I had a bespoke tuxedo made for my wedding. John promised me “the best suit you will ever wear” and he delivered on that promise. The service throughout was professional and supportive. All of his advice, not just in relation to the the garment, but also how to complement it with the rest of the items that make up the full outfit was much appreciated. Our wedding venue was at Arley Hall so naturally we had to have a Peaky Blinders theme. John and his assistant Zoe were very charming and made (my then fiancée) and I feel very welcome. The whole process was explained over a nice cup of tea and John began building my dream 1920’s style suit by showing me a great selection of fabrics. I knew what colour I wanted and found the perfect shade of navy blue with a beautiful complimenting lining and matching waistcoat back. We constructed the rest of my suit with bespoke pockets, vents, pleats, buttons etc and of course the vital measurements in keeping with the era, but still with a timeless look. John is very knowledgeable and absolutely understood what it was I was looking for as well as what accessories I would need to pull off the Blinder look! John takes great pride in his work and both he and Zoe made the whole experience very enjoyable and interesting. The cost of a bespoke suit is obviously far greater than an `off the peg‘ suit, but my god it is worth it! I felt incredible on my wedding day and cannot recommend Phillip Alexander high enough!
