Dressing well means paying attention to everything to all the details including shoes.

French fashion designer Christian Louboutin once said; “a shoe is not only a design, but it’s a part of your body language”. So shoes can not only have an influence on how you look but also how you feel and project yourself to others. With this in mind here are three things to look for when investing in a pair of shoes.

The quality of material

You usually get what you pay for with shoes. One rule of thumb is to always buy leather shoes as these is always more durable than cheaper alternatives.

Make sure they fit right

One mistake often made is to assume that because you have always worn the same size of shoe you don’t need to try a pair on before buying. Depending on the fit however, formal shoes can sometimes be too tight and uncomfortable or too big.

The right colour

You can buy shoes in all sorts of weird and wonderful colours but it is important to consider the right shoes for the right occasion. The easiest option is to choose black which goes with anything and is best suited to formal or corporate occasions.
